Staying in Stockholm

Please note that Stockholm will host the annual Eurovision Song Contest in May 2016. Since this rather non-autonomous event will partly overlap with the conference dates, there will be added pressure on the available hotel accommodations in Stockholm. We would therefore highly recommend that you book your rooms as soon as you can – most hotels have generous cancellation policies.

Below are some suggestions of hotels. However, the standard of hotels in Sweden is generally very high and there are many, many more decent hotels in Stockholm than can be listed here, so please do not be afraid to browse on your own as well. We also recommend that you make use of the web sites Booking.com and Expedia.

In order to find a hotel, you can also use the travel planner "Res i Stockholm". This will allow you to find out the best route from your hotel to the University Campus and it can also help you estimate the time it will get you to travel.

There are many affordable hotels along the T-bana "Red Line" and they are well worth checking out. Also, you might want to look at the Scandic hotels in Stockholm, for instance the hotels at Täby, Järva Krog, Bromma, Alvik, Älvsjö are all situated at commuter-friendly locations although the may appear to be at a quite some distance from the city centre or the University Capmus, so please use the journey planner to check out the best way to get from the hotel to the University Campus.
